“Crystal bows, two and a four, give me like ten grand.

That’s a brick, clear as my wrist, ice like it’s sprained bad

Member turning quarters to zips and it made my J’s mad

Member niggas loved me to death, so I made em play dead

Thoroughbred, can’t say I ain’t give em all I had

But it wasn’t enough, activate or you can’t lock in with us”

Rapping with the lyrics, I whipped through the Miami streets with my store on my mind. Niggas cost me a brick when they did that shit, but I had my mind made up. Somebody was gon’ pay for that shit cause playing with my money was like playing with my emotions. I didn’t have enemies, but with my ol’ girl dropping the info on me about Scar and his son, it made me wonder if that’s indeed where the attack came from. A nigga wasn’t really trying to get at me, somebody was deliberately trying to fuck with me and now that I knew he was out, that shit had his name written all over it. I really didn’t like to have to deal with my emotions and shit, but it was hard for me to feel anything about Scar’s son. Truth of the matter is, I don’t know him. I didn’t grow up with him. Never seen him a day in my life. How could I love what I never had? Could I say I would feel this way if I crossed paths with him? I couldn’t say that, but what I could say is whatever he’s on, I’m on; and if he wanted to go against me with Scar, he could get this pressure too.

When I pulled up to Da Towers, Mani and I both hopped out, and just like I knew it would, the aroma of fried fish and chicken hit our nostrils. The barbecue man was on the corner, and so far it looked like it had been a good day in the hood. Everybody was in place. While Mani ran up to Mrs. Junie’s, I made my rounds making sure everything was everything. I ran into ‘Doc’ and her aunt Junebug on the way back down.

“Shit been real quiet around here lately Snow. You ain’t had no jobs for me,” Doc said.

“That mean ain’t nobody gettin’ hurt Doc. That’s a good thing.” I replied. Doc was one of the quiet ones. I respected her hustle because she minded her business, collected her bread, and stayed out the way.

Junebug smiled at me showing her missing side tooth. Junebug was good people too but Junebug was another one that had a rough life. Although only in her forties, she looked every bit of sixty with her salt and pepper hair. Junebug had been in and out of prison countless times because she had a stealing problem. I warned her numerous times that if she ever stole shit from anybody around here, I would chop each one of her fragile little fingers off one by one. Around here, everybody had sinned in some kind of way, but I didn’t play about my people.
